Are you looking for something off the beaten path, not scared of a little exposure to Japanese culture and love the mountains?
We would love to have you!!
In 2016 My Wife our 3 kids and I were living in Fort McMurray Canada.
For years we had talked about moving to Japan, we wanted our kids to be bilingual and also comfortable in both cultures. Up until 2016 it was really only just talk. We were making good money and it was hard to leave.
Our perspective changed when a fire hit Fort McMurray. We were quite lucky, other than having to evacuate our home for 6 weeks, we were not hugely impacted. What did change though was our perspective. It was time for us to stop talking about our dreams, it was time to chase them.
We left Fort Mcmurray and Canada and decided it was time to make the move to Japan. After looking at Hakuba and Niseko we decided that Hakuba was a better fit for us.
Bigger mountains, better skiing!
We haven’t looked back since!
